Webcomics I read
On Twitter today I shared a list of webcomics I read. It’s an incomplete list, and at the same time, it’s not entirely truthful to say I read them 100%, since I haven’t had much time lately to keep up with all of them. But I do when I can.
I’m so shy about sharing a list like this, because I don’t think it represents all the webcomics out there I think are great. There are SO MANY!!!! These are just the ones that for whatever reason, I came across and bookmarked at some point or another. For a while I read comics through RSS, but switched to delicious because I like experiencing the websites. And as an added bonus for the creators, sites generally get way more ad revenue for pageviews than RSS views do.
In addition to my delicious list, I try to check out the comics that make it into the Sunday Morning Funnies feature on WoW Insider.
I didn’t read webcomics until I started my own. And even after I started NPC, I held off on reading webcomics because I didn’t yet feel confident in my own voice, and wanted to make sure I developed that sincerely. I was worried that my lack of confidence would cause me to be too greatly influenced by other comics. Since I’ve found some solid footing in my own comics, I’ve opened up and started reading others. I’m glad I did because there’s so much good content out there.
